i just read some info on this African celebration and the Seven Principles:Willing the Well -Being of the World

i do have questions about it. It is sad that assassination in Pakistan today. Its sad the Arab world has not a similar holiday or do they? with the same principles?

Kawanzaa seven principles:

UNITY, SELF-DETERMINATION, COLLECTIVE WORK AND RESPONSIBILITY (COOPERATIVE ECONOMICS,) PURPOSE, CREATIVITY, FAITH

three red candle next to three red with one black in-between. would it be OK if i added one white next to the black to symbolize multi culture of the same values? or would that take away from what the original intent for the African community to be together? this comes so close to Christmas is this a response to a white santiclause or what some believe to be a white Jesus? I don’t picture Jesus white nor black but a native middle eastern look. I like the value system this Holiday has. It needs to be more in all of are faces as we live life. social, economic and faith responsibility………..aren’t we talking about our personal value system our world life views?

help me understand as a white person who wishes to live multicultural and ethnically.

my wife and i go to our black friends house around Martin Luther King day to watch civil-rights videos, or have a reading or Kings speech. we walk with our brother and sister in life.
